A test.
Only one person knows that I am going to "P night" as Pikachu. To see if anyone bothers to read this (my suspitions are that no-one does) I will see how many people now know what I am going as. If you are reading this, live in Medway, and have a yellow cap and yellow jogging bottoms please contact me. I NEED them for one night only. Stay tuned for a review of the Philadelphia Eagles that will be my next post.

NFL wildcard playoffs
In broadcast order here are my predictions:
Jets @ Bengals
Probably the least appealing game kicks off the wild card weekend. Both these teams are heavy on the running game and their defence, though the Bengals have the edge when it comes to the passing game even with quarterback Carson Palmer a shadow of his former self. This is Ohio in winter though, so the passing game will not be a factor. Last weekends 37-0 whipping showed that the Jets can run the ball and have a strong defence. However I believe the Bengals will play much better this week, and were also holding something back last week (especially as no.1 running back Cedric Benson didn't play). Carson Palmer will have a say in this game after his last playoff game ended in him being carted off with a serious knee injury. A late Bengals drive will win it.
Jets 17-20 Bengals
Eagles @ Cowboys
This one is close to my heart. The Eagles were trounced 24-0 in Dallas last week and now they have to return 6 days later. Unlike the Bengals the Eagles did take their game seriously and still were destroyed. This will be closer but unfotunately the game will still end with a Cowboys win. Last week the Eagles defence could not stop the Dallas offence, whether blitzing or not blitzing. They will blitz more this week but the new & improved Tony Romo won't flap under pressure like previous years, instead hitting his hot reads and shredding the Eagles defence. While the Eagles offence should return to form and get 24, the Cowboys will score more.
Eagles 24-31 Cowboys
Ravens @ Patriots
The only wild card game not to be a rematch of the week before, but these teams did meet earlier in the year. The Ravens are suffering some form of identity crisis, with offence not defence becoming the dominant facet of this team. Ray Rice is a beats of a running back (gotta love the little guys!) and ably supported by Willis McGahee. The Patriots are not the team they once were, but they are still a dangerous team. Wes Welkers injury puts a lot of the offence on Randy Moss. With Baltimore defences of old this would make the Ravens a shoo-in. This defence is not however, meaning that Brady and Moss will ahev a big day. Despite this I believe the Ravens will have just enough to win in overtime.
Ravens 34-31 Patriots (OT)
Packers @ Cardinals
The Packers destroyed the Cardinals 33-7 last week, however they did it against a second string Cardinals team. Kurt Warner will be back and ready to go. Last year the Cardinals rose against all expectation and pulled off a stunning playoff run to get to the Superbowl. This year they will need to do the same, with Green Bay on good form and many in the US think they will walk this. I do think the Packers will win because of their superior defence, however it will only be by a field goal,

Dallas Week
As many people may have noticed I have an unhealthy obsession with the NFL and in particular the Philadelphia Eagles. I believe it is entirely possible that if I went to one of their games I would end up booing like a Philly native.
An occasion that happens at least twice a year is called "Dallas week". Essentially it is the build-up to a Philadelphia Eagles vs Dallas Cowboys game. It is equilvilent to a derby week in football, such as Arsenal vs Spurs etc etc.
This week it gains extra significance, as the winner will take the NFC East and get a home game in the playoffs. If the Eagles win they will get a week off to help them recover from any niggles, while it is even possible that if Dallas win a repeat of this fixture will occur the week after.
To any Dallas fans reading this, all I say is
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Eagles time
After their bye week the Philadelphia Eagles host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Lincoln Financial Field.
The Eagles have struggled against the Bucs recently, losing their last three matches, however these aren't the pirates of old. The signature in those games was Donovan Mcnabb being intercepted by Rhonde Barber who then took it for a touchdown. Tampa have abandoned their "Tampa 2", and Barber has been struggling in the new man coverage formations. This time Mcnabb will look to throw at Barber, as it is pretty likely that DeSean Jackson will have beaten him.
Tampa's offence started well but after a struggle against the Giants Byron Leftwich was benched and virtual running back Josh Johnson is now the quarterback. If he has to throw more than 20 passes the Eagles will steamroller the Bucs, which is the likely result.
Ali's score: Bucs 10-49 Eagles
Player to watch: Brian Westbrook-he returns from injury this week and will burn Tampa both running the ball and with pass receptions. 4 all-purpose touchdowns is a possibility.

Now thats uncanny!
Bluewater
This place is pretty impressive, it has as many restaurants as it can squeeze in, a multiplex cinema (that has TWO bars!)and is very easy to navigate around (unlike the maze that is MK). However, it doesn't float my boat for one reason. Designer brands. Bluewater is a collection of all sorts of designer clothing, and while is is good for most people, I'm not a designer clothes type of guy. I like the querky shops that sell weird gear. Perhaps it shows my naivity but assuming there would be a few of these at Bluewater. Overall Bluewater is a place for people who have money to spend. If you don't then going there may not be the most fulfulling thing you could do (I managed to spend WAY too much money there yesterday!)
